What you can make

Molded candles, scented candles, container candles, decorative candles and gift candles.

How to use (general guide – always test a small batch first)

  1. Melt the wax in a double boiler (a pot of water with your wax container inside). Do not heat it directly on the flame. Do not let the wax go above 85°C.
  2. Add color at about 70–85°C and stir.
  3. Add fragrance oil at about 65–85°C, depending on your wax grade, and stir gently for 2 minutes.
  4. Fragrance amount: start at 6% of the wax weight (60 g per 1 kg wax). Do not go above 10%.
  5. Fix the wick in the center of the container or mold.
  6. Pour at about 65–77°C. For glass jars, pouring a little warmer helps the wax stick to the glass.
  7. Let it cool overnight. For a stronger scent, leave the candle for 3–5 days before burning.

Bangladesh tips

  • Summer heat softens candles. Add Stearic Acid to make them harder.
  • Store the wax in a cool, dry place away from direct sun.
  • Never leave melting wax unattended. Overheated wax can catch fire.
  • Use a thermometer so you don't guess the temperature.
